We are honored to be featured in the July/August edition of Mountain Living Magazine in their article titled “Living History,” which highlights a truly special project that blends decades of Architectural vision and legacy with contemporary Engineering integrity.
The story showcases the deeply thoughtful work of Paul Bertelli of JLF Architects, with Axiom Engineering Group’s Principals, Paul DeWolfe, PE and John Melvin, recognized for their role in bringing a historic reconstruction to life. Built in 1934 and designed by local architectural legend Fred Willson, this Bozeman, Montana residence was a passion project in merging the past and the present in one stunning home. Bringing a historic building into the 21st century while maintaining its rich architectural legacy is no small feat, but the talented experts behind this residential redesign made it feel utterly seamless.
It was a privilege for our team to work alongside Paul Bertelli and the project’s expert design crew — partners and peers who share Axiom Engineering Group’s passion for thoughtful, enduring design. Coalescing Willson’s timeless architectural character and Bertelli’s innovative design intent required creative approaches across the whole project, from aesthetics and preservation to sustainability and functionality. The teams at Axiom Engineering Group are experts when it comes to crafting complex solutions and whole-building synergy, and this home presented a rewarding challenge for our crew to design structure and systems that give it life for generations to come.
