Senior Structural Engineers are experienced PEs with demonstrated experience leading a team of engineers and designers on simultaneous multi-disciplined projects. They have a proven ability to communicate across an extensive design team both internally and externally, deliver successful construction documents that are complete, concise, on time and achieve successful end results. The ideal candidate shall prove to be a motivator and be able to develop the staff assigned to their projects, and to contribute to the strategic goals of the company.

Senior Structural Engineer:

  • Holds a BS in applicable engineering discipline, MS preferred.
  • Has passed the PE exam.
  • 10+ years’ of structural building design experience
  • Manages all aspects of multiple projects including technical, budget and schedule performance.
  • Responsible for leading/producing technical project specifications, drawings, and models that meet our specifications and client needs for gravity and lateral systems.
  • Experience with software such as Revit, Enercalc and Risa 3d (Preferred)
  • Is recognized by Clients as a unique resource and trusted advisor across multiple disciplines
  • Develops strong relationships with assigned clients by delivering complete, thoroughly coordinated projects on time and on budget.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Mentors and develops the Project Engineers and other staff assigned to your projects to advance their ability to contribute to project and company success.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Through their work, positions Axiom Engineering Group as the preferred provider of building engineering services.
  • Grows workload from existing clients through repeat work.
  • Identifies, pursues, and captures new clients.
  • Design around common materials (wood, steel, concrete, masonry) (Required) as well as proven ability to implement new design analysis and/or detailing of advanced products (CLT’s, hollow core planks, pre – tensioned/post-tensioned slabs etc.) (A plus)
  • Experience with foundation systems such as helical piers and micropiles ( Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay DOE: $95,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year

Schedule:

License/Certification:

  • Active Professional Engineer license holder in at least one state (Required) (SE is a plus)
