Essential HVAC Functions:

  • Run heating and cooling loads for all HVAC projects.
  • Select best type of HVAC system(s) for each particular project.
  • Make HVAC equipment selections for project.
  • Layout all HVAC equipment and coordinate with building structure, and all other trades.
  • Create REVIT drawings for projects (a plus, but not required) Training Available.
  • Size and layout all sheet metal ductwork, grilles, and diffusers etc.
  • Size and layout all HVAC piping, valves, and specialties etc.
  • Create specifications / schedules for all HVAC equipment and materials being used on the project. Create separate specifications manual if required.
  • Provide engineering support during project construction. This includes submittal review / approval, responding to RFI’s, and attending project meetings when required.
  • Create as-build drawings once project is completed.

Essential Plumbing Functions:

  • Run calculations to determine all pipe sizes required. Includes, but not limited to, waste and vent piping, domestic water piping, and gas piping etc.
  • Make plumbing fixture and equipment selections, including water heaters and pumps etc.
  • Layout all plumbing piping systems and coordinate with building structure and all other trades.
  • Capable of creating CAD drawings for project (a plus but not required).
  • Create specifications / schedules for all plumbing equipment and material being used on the project. Create separate specifications manual if required.
  • Provide engineering support during project construction. This includes submittal review / approval, responding to RFI’s, and attending project meetings when required.
  • Create as-build drawings once project is completed.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Printing / Scanning of drawings for bids and current projects.
  • Site surveys of existing buildings, as required for design.
  • Meet subcontractors on site as necessary.
  • Meet with clients and give presentations on project design(s).
  • Interface with local government agencies and code officials as required for design.
  • Identify construction conflicts and provide viable solutions / recommendations.

Job Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering education.
  • At least (3) years of directly related experience in the field.
  • Solid knowledge of AutoDESK REVIT modeling system (a plus but not required).
  • Good mechanical, analytical, and technical skills.
  • Ability to work as an individual or a team player.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay DOE: $65,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
