Job Summary:

AXIOM Engineering Group is seeking a Structural Drafter/Modeler to become a member of the firm. The firm works with industry leading architects and design firms to provide high quality engineering services for public and private clients. We are seeking a motivated individual to join the team.

The successful candidate will be assigned a mentor to support their professional growth. The major activities for the position will include:

  • Modeling structural building designs utilizing Autodesk Revit (familiarity with Autodesk CAD design a plus)
  • Conducting field surveys of existing structural systems
  • Performing schematic structural framing layouts
  • Designing wood, steel, and concrete framing system details
  • Demonstrating proficiency with Revit in areas such as:
    • Schedules
    • Families
    • Parameter creation
  • Performing construction administration including:
    • As-built drawings
    • Shop drawing review for member sizing cross checking with construction documents
  • Coordinating with other trades and consultants including architect, mechanical, plumbing etc.

The candidate must have following skills, qualifications, and abilities:

  • Associate’s Degree, preferably in Design Drafting education (focus on Structural Design/Revit Structures a plus)
  • Some building construction knowledge
  • Multi-tasking on multiple projects
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay DOE: $48,000.00 – $68,000.00 per year
